William Regal had a rollercoaster of a 2022.
The year started with him being released from WWE back on January 5, amid the ongoing shakeup of the structure of the NXT brand.
Regal then debuted in AEW at the Revolution pay-per-view, where he broke up a fight between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, leading to the formation of the Blackpool Combat Club.
Regal then betrayed Jon Moxley in the AEW World Championship main event of Full Gear, helping MJF capture the title to teach one final lesson to the BCC.
Regal had opted to not renew his contract with the company in order to return to WWE to help train his son, Charlie Dempesy.
Regal is now back in WWE as the Vice President of Global Talent Development, which requires him to be backstage for Raw and SmackDown most, if not all, weeks.
The first picture of Regal at work in his new WWE role was shared by WWE today, in a gallery looking behind the scenes of this week’s Raw 30 show.
Regal is pictured beside Triple H and Bruce Prichard in Gorilla as the show is going on.
The full gallery, which features heartwarming photos of the current roster meeting legends and many more, can be found here.
