WWE star Xavier Woods has now shared his reaction to Tyler Breeze’s in-ring return and title win at an independent event over the weekend.
After over two years out of action, Breeze stepped back in between the ropes at the July 8 Next Generation Wrestling: Tennessee ‘Wrestle Wars’ show.
At the event, Breeze defeated Matt Cross to win the NGW: TN Championship.
Xavier Woods has now shared a photo with Breeze, backstage at the event.
Celebrating his friend’s victory, Woods tweeted:

Prior to Saturday, Breeze hadn’t wrestled since the June 15, 2021 edition of NXT, when he and Dirty Dango (fka Fandango) defeated Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci (Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner) of Imperium.
While WWE let Breeze go later that month, a new report has indicated that he is still working under a WWE agreement.
Per Fightful, Breeze is under contract with WWE, specifically for the UpUpDownDown brand, and has been for ‘quite some time’.
One WWE source reportedly told Fightful that Breeze’s WWE deal does prevent him from appearing on AEW programming.
Breeze’s wrestling return suggests that he’s able to take independent bookings.
