Pitch For Shocking WWE Star Name Change

Pitch For Shocking WWE Star Name Change WWE

There has been a pitch from a WWE Hall of Famer for a shocking name change to the ever-evolving Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik has really found his footing as a member of Judgment Day, now completely separated from his father Rey who was drafted to SmackDown with Dom staying on Raw.

The 25-year-old has been drawing a lot of heat for his antics, which has included numerous references to Eddie Guerrero.

As a way for Dom to potentially show further disrespect to Rey and Eddie, Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) has pitched that Dominik Mysterio change his name to Dominik Guerrero.

Speaking on Busted Open, Ray suggested:

“I love the relationship with Rhea (Ripley). I love Rhea constantly being in his ear. Taking shots at Eddie Guerrero will always get you heat, saying that Eddie Guerrero was the Dominik Mysterio of his generation. Getting back to the name thing, I know they did the angle years ago with Eddie possibly being Dom’s dad, what about Dominik taking the Guerrero last name over the Mysterio last name?

“After hearing Dom talk last night, I’m saying to myself, wouldn’t it be monster heat for Dominik to renounce, drop, get rid of the Mysterio last name? There can be nothing more insulting to the family than for Dom to say that he is disgusted by this last name, he’s disgusted with ever being associated with his father.”

Dominik and his Judgment Day allies Finn Balor and Damian Priest are set for a six-man tag match against the OC (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 5.

You have to imagine a Dominik vs Rey singles match will eventually happen, and it seemed like a very smart play from Triple H to keep them separate until they can do the match at a big show like WrestleMania.
