WWE
Today’s episode of SmackDown in London, England seemed to confirm the match that WWE is planning to main event Money in the Bank.
With various big matches on the card for tomorrow’s July 1 event, there wasn’t really a clear favorite for which would headline by going on last.
Well, while running down the card on SmackDown, Michael Cole made it very clear which match WWE sees as the main event for Money in the Bank.
Referring to it as both the “huge main event” and then the “massive main event” for Money in the Bank, the headline act looks to be Cody Rhodes vs Dominik Mysterio.
Cole played up the huge reactions both men are expected to receive tomorrow from an England crowd.
WRKD Wrestling did report that Brock Lesnar is expected to appear at Money in the Bank to set up a match at SummerSlam with Rhodes, so that’s another reason for Rhodes’ match to be the main event so the show goes off the air with that angle.
That’s been picked over the Bloodline Civil War with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs The Usos, both Money in the Bank ladder matches, and Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor.
