Planned Referee For Cody Rhodes Vs. Solo Sikoa At WWE SummerSlam 2024 Revealed

The planned referee for the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2024 between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa has now been revealed.

The match will see Cody Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line.

In a new post from Fightful Select, there were several interesting details about tonight’s event including planned match times, but also the assigned referees for each match.

As of yesterday the match was announced to be under ‘Bloodline Rules’, and according to Fightful, the referee is set to be Dan Engler.

Under Bloodline Rules, that essentially means there are no rules, opening the door for plenty of outside interference, specifically The Bloodline on behalf of Solo Sikoa.

Of course, there is a special guest referee in place at SummerSlam tonight, that being Seth Rollins for the CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre match.

In the show’s opening, there was a pair of performances by Jelly Roll with the singer doing the honors for both a rendition of ‘American the Beautiful’, as well as the theme of SummerSlam, his new single ‘Liar’.

Kicking off the show’s in-ring action, the WWE Women’s World Championship match featuring the culmination of months-long storylines.

Liv Morgan will look to defend her title against the returning Rhea Ripley after the latter returned from injury to discover that Morgan had seemingly stolen Dominik Mysterio.
