The first ever AEW Dark: Elevation match has been revealed with AEW announcing when the match will be taped ahead of the show’s debut.
It was previously announced that AEW’s new weekly show will premiere on March 15. We now know one match that will be feature on the first ever edition of AEW Dark: Elevation.
Jungle Boy will take on Danny Limelight on the show’s debut episode. AEW took to Twitter to state that this contest will be taped before tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
Noting that this will be the first time Paul Wight and Tony Schiavone have commentated together, AEW tweeted:
“TONIGHT The FIRST-EVER #AEWDark:Elevation match will take place before #AEWDynamite! It’s Jungle Boy vs. Danny Limelight with Tony Schiavone & Paul Wight commentating their first-ever match together!”
This match will also be the first time that Jungle Boy and Danny Limelight have competed one-on-on in AEW. The duo have shared the ring during tag team competition, with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus defeating Danny Limelight and KC Navarro in October last year.
New episodes of AEW Dark: Elevation will air every Monday on the AEW YouTube channel. This show will reportedly showcase established talent, rising stars and top independent prospects.
