Last week just hours before AEW Dynamite, Scorpio Sky was pulled his scheduled match with Shawn Spears as a precautionary measure after coming into contact with someone he thought had tested positive for COVID.
Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that Sky is going to miss any more TV time, as Dave Meltzer is reporting that the former AEW World Tag Team Champion is doing okay and could be back on Dynamite this week.
Speaking about the matter on the Wrestling Observer Radio show following Full Gear, Meltzer noted that Sky has been cleared to return to AEW and could be back for this week’s Dynamite show:
“By the way, Scorpio Sky is okay, and he’s cleared and he’ll be back, you know he could be back on Wednesday. I don’t know if he will be, but he could be. The guy who he thought had it, didn’t have it, so he wasn’t even exposed to it. He thought he was. He never tested positive. He tested negative twice, maybe even more than that now.”
Scorpio Sky and Shawn Spears have been feuding on Dark for a while now and the next stage in the feud was set to consist of a match on Dynamite. At this stage, there is no word on if/when AEW is considering booking that match.
