An AEW star has provided an update on their contract status, health and what the future holds for them as they prepare for an in-ring return.
Dustin Rhodes hasn’t wrestled for AEW since the August 26, 2022 episode of AEW Rampage.
Speaking on Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, Rhodes provided an update on his health:
“Knee is great. I’m feeling good. I’m ready to go back.
“I’ll be back very very soon, probably two weeks.
“Right now, I feel good.
“I am getting older and that kind of weighs on my mind a little bit.”
The 53-year-old clarified his current health status by saying:
“This is 14 surgeries altogether.
“I was just feeling old because my knee is taking a little longer to recuperate.
“Now I’ve got it, it’s good to go.”
Dustin’s last outing was a loss to Claudio Castagnoli in a Ring of Honor World Championship match on Rampage.
Castagnoli has since dropped the title to Chris Jericho, but will challenge for it again at Full Gear, in a four-way with Jericho, Bryan Danielson and Sammy Guevara.
