Popular AEW Star Slept In His Car Night Before Full Gear

Popular AEW star and current TNT Champion Darby Allin has revealed that he slept in his car the night before he won the title from Cody Rhodes earlier this month at the Full Gear pay-per-view.

Allin has revealed on Busted Open Radio that he chose to spend the night in his vehicle not out of necessity, but to remind himself of the hardships and struggles he has had to go through to get where he is today:

“I wanted to remind myself of just how sh*tty things were. So I slept in there [my car] and the weather in Jacksonville is still so much more muggy than other places. It was just a reminder to myself. You don’t need to forget where you came from just because this week’s huge. To keep it? It makes you want to fight more. So now I’m grateful to have this house with 13 acres and a wrestling ring downstairs. [Also] skate ramps and a bunch of crazy sh*t.”

After several unsuccessful attempts since the launch of AEW last year, Darby Allin finally managed to defeat Cody Rhodes at the excellent Full Gear show in early November. The pair tagged together on this week’s Dynamite.
