A top NXT star has revealed that she is currently out of action, noting that she is recovering from an injury.
On Sunday, Ember Moon challenges Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship. Moon’s tag-team partner, Shotzi Blackheart, has confirmed that she is on the self.
On Twitter, Blackheart was asked if she was injured, ahead of NXT TakeOver. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion confirmed that she was hurt, simply tweeting: “Yup”.
Moon and Blackheart were the second-ever team to hold NXT Women’s Tag Team gold. Their reign lasted 55 days, before being defeated by Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell of The Way.
On the May 25 episode of NXT, Raquel Gonzalez brutalized Blackheart, while Ember Moon was forced to watch. This angle was likely done to write Blackheart off TV ahead of the big Women’s Title match.
