A popular WWE star appears to have turned babyface on last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
The show saw Cesaro pick up yet another singles win over Daniel Bryan, but it was the post-match that was a big talking point.
The two men fist-bumped following the conclusion of the match as a show of respect, something you certainly wouldn’t expect a heel to do.
What makes the turn even more likely is that Dave Meltzer has reported the spot in the recent gauntlet match that turned Shinsuke Nakamura babyface was actually initially meant for Cesaro.
Bryan had pitched the whole gauntlet idea, including turning someone babyface like with Nakamura, except his idea was for it to be Cesaro.
However, WWE didn’t want to give Cesaro that spot because at that point he had yet to agree to a new contract and his current one was expiring pretty soon.
Since then, he’s agreed to a new deal, so it seems fairly likely WWE is now going to follow through with Bryan’s initial idea of turning him babyface.
