SmackDown Star Says He Got Over Without WWE Shoving Him Down Fans’ Throats WWE

LA Knight has now commented on his popularity, sharing his honest thoughts on his addition to the Money in the Bank ladder match.

On the June 2 edition of SmackDown, Knight defeated fan-favourite Montez Ford to qualify for the multi-person ladder match at the July 1 Money in the Bank premium live event.

Despite Ford’s popularity, WWE fans sided with Knight and cheered the charismatic competitor on.

Speaking on WWE The Bump, Knight argued that he had to go out and get under the spotlight himself, without help from management.

Stating that he got over without getting shoved down anyone’s throat, Knight said:

“There’s a little bit of relief. There’s a little bit of ‘I told you so.’ There’s a little bit of anger. There’s a little bit of annoyance, if I’m honest.

“Because finally, the WWE is gonna give me what I want. Why? Because I had to go out and make it happen.”

“I didn’t get shoved down anybody’s throat. I wasn’t anybody’s guy.

“I came in and I did my thing, and the whole world, whether you take me to Saudi Arabia, whether you take me to London, whether you take me to Puerto Rico, you can take me to Mobile, Alabama, and every single place is gonna make a whole lot of noise for LA Knight.

“You know why that is? Because they can see that I stand head and shoulders above everybody walking.”

Many fans have called for Knight to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, which would entitle him to a world title match at a time of his choosing.
