A popular former WWE Champion is backstage at tonight’s SmackDown show in Orlando, Florida.
Former WWE Champion Big E has not been seen on WWE television since March 2022, when he suffered a broken neck on SmackDown following a botched Belly to Belly Suplex from Ridge Holland.
Big E has provided several updates, but has said that there is still no timetable for a potential return to the ring for him.
Per PWInsider, Big E is backstage at tonight’s (July 21) SmackDown show.
There has been no word on whether or not he is set to appear on the broadcast itself, or if he’s simply visiting the show.
Last week’s show saw Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly suffer a separated shoulder during the duo’s tag team match with Sheamus and Ridge Holland of the Brawling Brutes.
After receiving abuse online, Holland deleted his Twitter account. He has since returned to the platform.
Big E’s New Day partners Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were drafted to the Raw brand in the 2023 WWE Draft.
