Popular WWE Star Had Segment Pulled From WrestleMania 39 WWE

WrestleMania 39 is now officially in the books, and the first night of the show was regarded as one of the best nights of WrestleMania in recent memory.

Night two saw a lot of strange decisions, including the finish to the main event that left a lot of fans angry.

One other noticable absence was that of LA Knight, who had been promising to give WrestleMania it’s ‘LA Knight moment’ in the weeks leading up to the show.

Bobby Lashley’s planned match with Bray Wyatt was scrapped from the show, with Lashley instead competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on WrestleMania SmackDown.

Lashley was teasing an open challenge for the show, but he ended up just bringing his trophy out in front of the live crowd before walking to the back.

Per WRKD Wrestling, this was not always the plan, and Knight and Lashley were scheduled to have a segment together on the second night of the show, but they were cut from the show, with no reason being given for the change.

They said:

A noticeable on-screen absence from this weekend’s #WrestleMania was LA Knight, even after saying, “WrestleMania will get that LA Knight moment!” We’re told Knight was scheduled to have a segment with Lashley on night two. We are unsure, as of now, why the change was made.

24 hours later, the Raw after WrestleMania saw multiple late changes to the show, including one for Seth Rollins’ segment that seems to have been made as he was in the ring.

To nobody’s surprise, those changes came from Vince McMahon, who made the changes after being ‘firmly in control’ of last night’s show.
