WrestlingInc is reporting that the contract of SmackDown star and multi-time Tag Team Champion Cesaro is set to expire after WrestleMania 37 this coming April.
Cesaro’s WWE contract expires shortly after WrestleMania, Wrestling Inc. has learned.
The report does not note whether or not WWE is planning on extending Cesaro’s contract, but considering how talented the Swiss wrestler is, you have to expect that he will be offered a new deal at some point.
Cesaro joined WWE in September 2011 and has since held the United States Champion on one occasion, the Raw Tag Team Championship on five occasions and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship twice.
Cesaro has been picking up wins on SmackDown of late, defeating Dolph Ziggler and former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan on the blue brand last month, possibly suggesting a big push is in his future.
For any potential updates on the contract status of Cesaro and what the future holds for the SmackDowm star as we head into WrestleMania 37, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
