A new report has indicated a possible date for WWE’s planned singles match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey.
WrestlingNews.co reports that WrestleMania 38 has been discussed, but some in WWE believe WrestleMania 39 would be better as it’s in Los Angeles which is Rousey’s hometown and would bring more publicity.
38 is scheduled for April 3, 2022 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and 39 is set for April 2, 2023 at the SoFi Stadium in LA.
It had previously been reported that Vince McMahon had hoped to be able to do it at WrestleMania 37, but that didn’t end up happening.
Rousey recently announced that she’s pregnant and is expecting to give birth this coming September, which could be why we didn’t see Lynch vs Rousey last month unless it just wasn’t in the plans regardless.
Becky Lynch herself gave birth this past December, and has yet to make a return to WWE TV, but did re-sign with the company recently.
WWE President Nick Khan said last month that Lynch will be returning soon and Rousey will also be returning at some point, so it seems this match is definitely something WWE wants to go ahead with.
