A possible reason for an AEW star being pulled from the September 14 edition of AEW Dynamite from Albany, New York has been revealed.
As previously mentioned, Kenny Omega was scheduled for the Tokyo Gaming Show prior to his suspension after the All Out backstage fight.
AEW announced that they will not only be appearing on the Tokyo Gaming Show in Japan, but they would also have a slate of matches.
There is no lineup of talent for the show available at the time of this writing.
The company announced that former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida was pulled from her scheduled tag team bout with Toni Storm against Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Serena Deeb on the September 14 episode of AEW Dynamite.
All Elite Wrestling said that Shida wasn’t medically cleared following an attack from Baker in the locker room on the September 13 edition of AEW Dark.
However, the timing lines up that this may have been done to allow Hikaru Shida to appear at the Tokyo Gaming Show.
Shida has worked for Tokyo Joshi Pro among other Japanese promotions throughout her career. AEW has typically highlighted the former AEW Women’s World Champion in the country.
On social media, Shida announced that she will have a show for Maika on Thursday, September 15 as well.
