Possible WrestleMania 38 Backup Plan For Seth Rollins If Cody Rhodes Doesn’t Join WWE

Possible WrestleMania 38 Backup Plan For Seth Rollins If Cody Rhodes Doesn’t Join WWE WWE

WWE has been planning a big WrestleMania 38 match between Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.

The small, well actually quite large, wrinkle in the plans, is that Cody Rhodes has not yet signed with the company, with many expecting him to debut on tonight’s (March 14) Raw show in Jacksonville, Florida, or not at all.

If Cody doesn’t return to WWE, WWE will need to find a backup plan for Rollins at the show. We may have gotten a look into that future at last night’s WWE live event in Savannah, GA.

The main event of last night’s show saw Finn Balor retain his United States Championship against both Rollins and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat match.

Balor vs Priest for the United States Championship is listed internally as a singles match for the show, but it seems WWE could slot Rollins into the fold should Cody’s WWE return ultimately be all… smoke and mirrors.
