A potential big change to the WWE event schedule has been revealed by TKO COO Mark Shapiro at the USB media conference.
Since returning to live events in 2021, WWE has experienced huge growth in the business for their live events, regardless if its a premium live event, weekly television show or house show.
On September 12, Endeavor announced that WWE and UFC had completed the merger to form a new sports and entertainment company, TKO Group Holdings.
At the USB media conference on December 4, TKO COO Mark Shapiro discussed a potential change to the WWE live event schedule.
Shapiro stated they want to cut back on WWE house shows moving forward. He says they’re “dilutive” from a “margin perspective,” which is corporate speak for “unprofitable.”
Shapiro also addressed TKO making a deal for WWE Raw media rights before an NBA deal is done. He also stated that it could wait until the night before the current deal with NBCU expires in September 2024.

Shapiro says they want to cut back on WWE house shows. He says they're "dilutive" from a "margin perspective" which is wonderful corporate speak for unprofitable. Seemingly he's especially referring to house shows in smaller markets or "C and D counties".
