There has been a potential spoiler on a potential surprise appearance on tonight’s (December 9) WWE SmackDown show.
Tonight’s show takes place in Pittsburgh, the home town of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.
WWE has announced a Kurt Angle birthday celebration segment for tonight’s show.
However, he’s not the only Olympic Gold Medalist set to be in Pittsburgh.
Per PWInsider, WWE prospect and former Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson is also currently in Pittsburgh.
WWE has not yet announced that he will be on the show, or even backstage, but he’s often been linked to Kurt Angle due to their similar backgrounds.
Steveson was drafted to the Raw brand in the 2021 WWE Draft, but has yet to make his WWE debut.
He made an appearance on the second night of WrestleMania 38, in a segment with the Alpha Academy.
