A potential spoiler has revealed WWE’s plans for a championship match on the December 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Tonight’s SmackDown emanates from the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, with both fallout from WWE Survivor Series and build for next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event anticipated by fans.
While three title matches are officially set for the Saturday Night’s Main Event card, it seems as if WWE plan to also put on a championship contest on SmackDown.
According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, WWE Tag Team Champions the Motor City Machine Guns will defend their titles against The Street Profits on tonight’s show.
If it takes place the bout will be a rematch of the two teams’ contest from the November 15 episode of SmackDown, a match that ended in a no contest when Tommaso Ciampa interfered.
Despite Johnny Gargano’s pleas with Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley for DIY to receive a WWE Tag Team Title match, the champions made clear their intention to give Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins their rematch, despite Dawkins punching Shelley after their match.
