An update has emerged on a potential WWE SmackDown debut that could take place at tonight’s show in Dallas, Texas.
At Royal Rumble on January 31, Royce Keys – formerly known as Powerhouse Hobbs – made his WWE debut in the men’s Rumble match.
However, Keys hasn’t appeared on Raw, NXT or SmackDown in the 13 days since then.
He was at WWE headquarters earlier this week and now there’s an update on a potential debut.
Keys posted a photo on his Instagram story of the WrestleMania 42 logo, seemingly in the arena for tonight’s SmackDown, indicating he is at the event.
There’s been no official announcement that Keys is set to appear, and he was reportedly backstage at Raw last week despite not being part of the show, so this shouldn’t necessarily be taken as 100% confirmation he’ll be on the show tonight.
The following has been announced for WWE SmackDown tonight:
– Jacob Fatu vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Sami Zayn – Elimination Chamber qualifying match
– Jade Cargill (c) vs. Jordynne Grace – WWE Women’s Championship
– Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY (c) vs. Lash Legend & Nia Jax – Women’s Tag Team Championship
– Zelina vs. Giulia vs. Alexa Bliss – Elimination Chamber qualifying match
– Rey Fenix vs. Trick Williams
