WWE
There has been an update on a yearly WWE tradition that has seemingly been cancelled following a recent announcement.
Every year, WWE has run a live event in Madison Square Garden on December 26, but the status of that event has been up in the air in recent weeks this year.
WWE released their schedule for all live events for the rest of 2024, which featured a December 26 live event in Jacksonville, Florida, but no additional date in MSG on that day.
It’s worth noting that a number of dates have two live events listed, so this isn’t necessarily an indicator that the event isn’t happening.
In an update on the status of the show from Fightful Select (subscription required), numerous talent have noted that the December 26 event in MSG is still listed in their internal talent relations app as an upcoming show.
Fightful was told back in the Summer that the event was still planned, but the company passed on providing any additional information on the show by the Fall.
We will provide any updates on the show as they become available.
WWE will be running the New York area on December 14 with the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
