The final viewership figures for the August 28 episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX, the last episode before the Payback event, have been revealed.
As per Showbuzz Daily, the show drew an average of 2.144 million viewers, which is down from the overnight average of 2.181 million that came out on Saturday.
It’s also a decrease from the 2.198 million that the show before SummerSlam drew a week earlier.
The show drew a 0.6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, which is the same as the prior week. There was an decrease in 18-34 in which it drew 0.3, down from 0.4.
The pre-Payback show was also the post-SummerSlam show, and was promoted around the return of Roman Reigns who came back after months out at the end of SummerSlam.
On Friday’s SmackDown, he revealed Paul Heyman as his new manager and went on to win the Universal Title at Payback, so we’ll have to see how all that affects the viewership this coming Friday.
