Private Party Reveal How They Signed With AEW

All Elite Wrestling has put a focus on highlighting new talent. One of the first examples of this was the signing of independent team Private Party. The duo was fresh on the scene and the promotion snatched them up early in AEW’s life.

Now, they have told the story of how they got signed by AEW. On AEW Unrestricted, Isiah Kassidy revealed it was all a result of posting a video on Twitter. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“FTR posted something and said, ‘One day, we’ll fight the Young Bucks, and everybody will rejoice.’ I did the same thing, posted a one minute video, and said the same thing FTR said and tagged [The Young Bucks]. A couple of hours later, it blew up. Matt [Jackson] liked it and RT’d it. A week later, I get hit up from Matt and he’s like, ‘Are you guys signed?’ I said, ‘No, we’re not signed, just doing Independent shows.’ Underneath was ‘I’m starting a new project up.’ Fast forward to February, we get a call from Christopher Daniels who says, ‘They want to sign you to AEW.’ We shot our shot.”

Private Party’s biggest win came on an early episode of AEW Dynamite when they defeated the Young Bucks in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
