The first-ever episode of WCW Nitro launched back in 1995, and took place in the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The venue was incredibly unique, but wrestling has yet to return to the Hall in the 27 years since that episode of Nitro, but that’s all set to change in September.
F1RST Wrestling are set to host their aptly named ‘Saturday Night Nitro’ event at the legendary arena on September 10, 2022.

Mall of America® Hosts Historic F1RST Wrestling Event
Saturday Night Nitro will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022.F1RST Wrestling, a professional wrestling company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, reached a milestone Sunday, hosting the 20th edition of their marquee event WRESTLEPALOOZA, emanating from the world-famous First Avenue Nightclub. During the event, F1RST Wrestling’s Arik Cannon announced professional wrestling will return to Mall of America® for the first time in over 27 years.
“A friend of mine told me that it’s important to enjoy the moment, so if it’s OK with all of you…this moment is for all of us,” said Arik Cannon before announcing F1RST Wrestling’s September 10 event at Mall of America®.
A feature attraction for Mall of America®’s year-long 30th birthday celebration, F1RST Wrestling will present Saturday Night Nitro on Saturday, September 10. The event will feature professional wrestling stars from across the world, including F1RST Wrestling mainstays fans have come to love.
F1RST Wrestling will build a wrestling ring in the center of Huntington® Bank Rotunda, producing a showcase of the world’s top in-ring performers. Tickets for the all-ages event go on sale Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m.
