The excellent match between Intercontinental Champion Gunther and Chad Gable on WWE Raw has been attributed to a former tag team partner of Gable, as the list of producers of the July 31 Raw have been revealed.
Released courtesy of Fightful Select, the full list of producers for the matches and segments of Raw have shown that a man with a storied history with Gable helped construct the well-received bout.
The man in question is Jason Jordan, who formerly teamed with Gable both on NXT and SmackDown between 2015 and 2017 as American Alpha, winning both the NXT and Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
Jordan has worked as a producer in WWE since being seemingly forced into retirement in early 2018 due to a serious neck injury.
As well as Gable vs Gunther, Jordan also reportedly produced the Judgment Day’s promo which preceded Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio’s tag team main event match with Sami Zayn and Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins later in the night.
