The AEW Games reveal gave us the news that there will be an All Elite Wrestling console game. The game will be developed by Yukes and will be available on current and next-generation consoles. However, these were not the only details we were given.
Kenny Omega also announced that legendary game producer Hideyuki “Geta” Iwashita will be joining production. Iwashita is also known for being behind the critically acclaimed WWF No Mercy for the N64.
Omega introduced Iwashita who gave some quick comments about how excited he was to be working on the game. Here is the quote:
“Hi, Kenny! Its ‘Geta’-san! Thank you so much for reaching out to me this time. I was the director of WWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64 about 20 years ago. I am very excited to be involved in the new AEW wrestling game. Let’s create a dream wrestling game for AEW fans around the world and for all fans of the game.”
AEW Games also announced a pair of mobile games during the presentation. The first was announced by Aubrey Edwards who revealed AEW Elite General Manager, followed by Cody revealing AEW Casino Double or Nothing.
