Producers For October 22 WWE SmackDown Segments Revealed

Producers For October 22 WWE SmackDown Segments Revealed

The backstage producers for matches and segments from the October 22 edition of SmackDown have been revealed.

The show was headlined by the notable women’s championship exchange segment between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Proceedings seemed to go off course when Flair dropped the Raw Women’s Title, and Lynch threw her SmackDown Women’s gold at Flair.

It had been reported that ‘no one involved’ was happy about the title switch segment, which had been debated throughout the day. As per Fightful Select (subscription required), Adam Pearce and Molly Holly were listed as producers for the segment.

After the show, Flair and Lynch had a heated confrontation in the gorilla position. You can read about the backstage reaction to the altercation here.

Fightful also reports that Shane Helms produced the ‘King Woods’ coronation, and co-produced the Hit Row debut, alongside Steve Corino. It was noted that internal sheets had Jinder Mahal & Shanky listed as Hit Row’s opponents instead of the local competitors, and didn’t have Top Dolla scheduled for the bout.

Jamie Noble was reportedly listed as the producer for Drew McIntyre’s return to SmackDown against Sami Zayn, while D-Von Dudley produced the Mansoor vs Mustafa Ali Crown Jewel rematch.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin was produced by Shawn Daivari, as per reported internal lists.

The viewership figures for both the original October 22 edition of SmackDown, and the October 23 ‘encore’ have now been revealed.
