R-Truth has addressed an appearance that he made at a non-WWE event earlier this year, revealing how it came about.
Back in September, R-Truth attended a Carolina Panthers NFL game, appearing on their social media.
In a video shared on Twitter, Truth can be seen with the team’s mascot, with the WWE star sharing the “keep pounding” team motto.
During a recent appearance on Carolina Sports Live, Truth revealed how the appearance came about and the role he was playing that day, saying:
“The Panthers hit me up, asked me about being an ambassador.
“Of course, man, I was blown away, I’m down. I attended the games and we pulled it off, we won.”

Truth’s appearance would coincide with the Panthers scoring their first victory of the season against the Atlanta Falcons.
Earlier this year, R-Truth parted ways with WWE briefly, returning at Money in the Bank in June.
He would go on to share a message to WWE President Nick Khan after making his return, which would see the star use his real name of Ron Killings.
