A WWE star was injured during a match tonight and was unable to continue after taking a high risk dive.
After interrupting the opening segment to begin his entrance theme (which apparently continued through the commercial break!) R-Truth was off to an entertaining start.
As his match against NXT prankster Grayson Waller was heading into the picture in picture commercial break, a high risk move appeared to go awry.

As R-Truth completed the dive over the top rope, he “didn’t get all of it,” as Booker T mentioned on commentary, making a hard landing and subsequently was clutching his knee.
As the picture in picture break was scrapped in favor for full adverts, when the live feed did return it remained on Waller until Truth was shown being tended to by multiple personnel.
While R-Truth required staff assistance to get to the back, he walking on his own albeit with much assistance in an apparent bid to prevent weight bearing on the injured leg.
To clarify, the official ruling was that Grayson Waller won the match. Waller then filled a couple of minutes with an off-the-top-of-the-head promo in the ring.
We wish R-Truth all the best and a speedy recovery from tonight’s injury.
