WWE Star Thanks Fans After R-Truth Money In The Bank Appearance WWE

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has addressed R-Truth’s Money in the Bank appearance, following his departure announcement.

R-Truth took to social media to announce his WWE departure on June 1, with Fightful and PWInsider confirming that WWE would not be renewing R-Truth’s contract.

This announcement resulted in “we want Truth” chants breaking out on WWE TV, ahead of Truth’s appearance in the closing moments of Money in the Bank on June 7.

Following Truth costing John Cena and Logan Paul their tag-team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, Rhodes addressed R-Truth’s return during the Money in the Bank Post-Show.

Thanking fans for telling WWE what they wanted, Rhodes noted:

“The truth is, you guys wanted Truth, and it’s always our job, everybody up here, everybody over there, Triple H, Nick Khan, it’s always our job to give you what you want, so thank you guys for letting us know.”

It does appear that R-Truth will be using his real name, Ron Killings, going forward.

Triple H claimed that Truth’s original departure announcement was a planned work, noting during the post-show press conference that Truth’s return was “all part of the show.”

Nothing about the situation over the past week has suggested it was anything other than legitimate, and PWInsider reported Truth was in talks with independent promotions just a couple of days ago about potential upcoming bookings.

Also, Carlito and Sarah Logan/Valhalla also announced their departures under the same circumstances as Truth last weekend.

R-Truth has since addressed this work speculation surrounding his initial departure announcement, click here to read more.
