R-Truth is reportedly set to undergo a name change in WWE following his return at tonight’s WWE Money In The Bank event.
Last week, R-Truth announced on social media that his WWE contract was expiring, with WWE opting not to renew his deal, with him set to leave the company.
The crowds on WWE television over the past week have been chanting ‘We Want Truth’ following the news of his departure, but tonight’s crowd in Los Angeles GOT Truth.
R-Truth made his return to WWE in the closing moments of tonight’s show, attacking John Cena during the show’s main event, helping Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeat Logan Paul and John Cena.
Following his return, WWE has begun reselling R-Truth merchandise, with the new shirt interestingly being advertised under the name ‘Ron Killings’, which is his real name.
In an update from PWInsider, Truth is indeed back with the company, and is listed under the name ‘Ron Killings’ internally.
PWInsider notes that Truth was in discussions with several about potential independent bookings and appearances days ago, so the decision to bring him back came in the past 72 hours.
