R-Truth has shared his first comments since appearing at WWE Money in the Bank, responding to a post about his return potentially being a work.
R-Truth took to social media to announce his WWE departure on June 1, with Fightful and PWInsider confirming that WWE would not be renewing R-Truth’s contract.
Following a week of “we want Truth” chants on WWE TV, Truth made his return in the closing moments of the Money in the Bank main event, attacking John Cena and costing him and Logan Paul their tag-team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
During the post show press conference, Triple H stated “enjoying the show? It’s all part of the show man,” claiming that Truth’s departure announcement was a work.
R-Truth has now responded to a tweet which argued that “we all got worked” following Truth’s return.
Truth simply responded:
“No work”
Nothing about the situation over the past week has suggested it was anything other than legitimate, and PWInsider reported Truth was in talks with independent promotions just a couple of days ago about potential upcoming bookings.
Also, Carlito and Sarah Logan/Valhalla also announced their departures under the same circumstances as Truth last weekend.
It also appears Truth will be using his real name, Ron Killings, going forward.
