‘More Than Just Wrestling Ability’ – Former WWE Champion Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal) Names The Top 5 Wrestlers He Has Shared The Ring With

Former WWE Champion Raj Dhesi – formerly known as Jinder Mahal – has shared his list of the top five wrestlers he’s shared the ring with.

With Raj Dhesi wrestling since 2002 and spending 12 years with WWE, the ex-world champion has shared the ring with the best of the best.

The former “Jinder Mahal” took to Instagram to name the top five wrestlers he’s either teamed with or stood across the ring from.

In a video post, Dhesi prefaced:

“Best wrestler to me is more than just wrestling ability, it’s everything, being a superstar.”

Dhesi’s top five wrestlers he’s shared the ring with, in no particular order, were:

Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles. 

Randy Orton was Dhesi’s opponent for the biggest match of his WWE career, with Dhesi defeating Orton to win the WWE Championship at Backlash 2017.

The duo continued their feud for several months in 2017 and were both notably part of the US Title four-way at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, which saw Dhesi walk away with that title.

Drew McIntyre was a friend and foe for Dhesi, with the duo being part of the 3 Man Band faction with Heath Slater.

They most recently shared the ring as opponents however, with McIntyre, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeating Dhesi, Sanga and Veer ad Superstar Spectacle 2023.

Most of the former “Jinder Mahal’s” confrontations with Roman Reigns took place on house shows in 2018, however the duo have faced off several times on TV, with their only televised singles match seeing Reigns stand tall on th March 13, 2017 Raw episode.

Seth Rollins and Raj Dhesi have a lot of history together, first facing off in WWE’s former developmental brand FCW in October 2010.

The duo then faced off in the finals of the match to crown the first ever NXT Champion, with Rollins pinning Mahal in August 2012 to become the inaugural titleholder.

They most recently faced off on the January 15, 2025 Raw episode, with Seth Rollins retaining the World Heavyweight Championship in a match which saw Rollins suffer a legitimate leg injury.

Finally, AJ Styles was the man who ended Raj Dhesi’s WWE Championship reign, defeating him on the November 7, 2017 SmackDown episode.

The duo have shared the ring on numerous occasions besides then, most recently in the Last Chance Money in the Bank qualifying Battle Royal on the June 27, 2022 edition of Raw.
