Well, if the AEW/WWE War was mostly a little bit of poking fun here and there, Randy Orton and Tony Khan have turned it up a notch tonight on Twitter.
Earlier today, CM Punk tweeted out a message saying “no one is safe” from his analysis on WWE Backstage. He then tagged several WWE personnel and AEW’s Tony Khan.
Tony Khan fired back with what looked like a little dig back at WWE. He specifically mentioned the events surrounding WWE wrestlers being stuck in Saudi Arabia.
No one is safe? Sounds like a plane full of wrestlers in Saudi Arabia!

Not leaving good enough alone, Randy Orton made things personal. He referenced Tony Khan’s dad and investigations surround corruption.
Tony Khan, not to be outdone, linked to Randy Orton’s use of racial slurs on a Twitch Video earlier this year.
I thought you only tagged me in your posts when you were grasping for leverage. That article’s over a year old + is about baseless claims made about my dad years ago. That’s the best you can do, nothing. Meanwhile in the time since that was written, you used the N word on twitch.

So far tonight, it looks like Tony Khan is winning Twitter tonight. Personally, I haven’t been a big fan of AEW making direct and subtle digs at WWE on their programming.
However, in this case, CM Punk started it by tagging Khan directly. If I were WWE, I don’t think I’d be bringing any attention to rival companies.
Stay tuned to WrestleTalk for further updates on this story and for any additional news breaking on social media tonight.
