Randy Orton did the most Randy Orton thing in a very long time yesterday when he posted a picture on Instagram seemingly teasing a move to AEW once his contract with WWE is up.
He simultaneously proved that he absolutely doesn’t care and is pretty much completely bulletproof in WWE.
Both Luke Harper and Chris Jericho replied to the post, which left a lot of fans wondering when exactly Randy’s current WWE is up.
It is thought that he signed a 10-year deal back in December 2010, but Fightful is reporting that his current deal will expire in the summer of 2020, so perhaps the deal was for 9 1/2 years.
Shortly after the post, Fightful began receiving inquiries from WWE talent and employees about Orton, who volunteered up information that as of right now, Orton’s WWE deal is up next summer. He was reported to have signed a ten-year deal in 2010, but considering a number of variables, the length of the deal could have always changed.
He would be an unbelievably big signing for AEW given how long he has been in WWE for and how many titles he has won on the way.
