Randy Orton Impressed By Young WWE Raw Star

A young WWE Raw star has gotten in the good books of the legendary Randy Orton, as the ‘Viper’ shared a story presenting the promising performer in a good light.

Speaking on After The Bell, Orton spoke about Austin Theory going out of his way to ask Orton if he could use a variation of a cutter for his finish.

Orton revealed he was caught somewhat off guard by this courteous act, saying:

“Austin Theory, never never met him before. The Corona thing just started, I was down in the PC and everyone’s staying apart. A few people have masks on, no one’s shaking hands, and Austin Theory comes up to me to shake my hand.

“And I could tell he was new, he was young and he was trying to not say the wrong thing, but he goes, ‘hey, I want to start doing this move,’ and it ends up in a similar position kind of like a cutter. I think he picks the guy up like a fireman’s carry spins around and does a cutter, and I was so taken back that this kid took the time and had the respect and the wherewithal to ask me if it was OK with me for him to do that. Before I could even think about what the right answer shouldn’t be I said, ‘yes. Oh my God. Are you kidding me?’ He came to me, and he asked me. I don’t know if that’s ever happened.”

Theory was brought up to the main roster as a last-minute replacement for Andrade at WrestleMania after he was ruled out due to injury, meaning Theory was placed into the group with Zelina Vega, Andrade and Angel Garza, where he didn’t really fit in.

He’s now moved onto a group much better suited to him, where he’s now joined Seth Rollins’ following alongside Murphy.
