Randy Orton & Jelly Roll WWE SummerSlam Match Major Update

A major update has emerged on the plans at WWE SummerSlam for Randy Orton and musician Jelly Roll in tag team action.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Jelly Roll was planned to make his in-ring deubt at SummerSlam, and he’d be aligned with a “top babyface” heading into the event.

Then, on SmackDown, Jelly Roll’s musical performance was interrupted by Logan Paul, who confronted Jelly Roll in the ring.

This prompted Randy Orton to come out and stand up for Jelly Roll, confronting Paul about his hypocrisy in not wanting an “outsider” like Jelly Roll to come into WWE, when Paul did exactly the same thing.

However, Orton was then met out of nowhere with a Claymore from Drew McIntyre, which led to a match between Orton and McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event tonight.

Orton had Jelly Roll in his corner, and McIntyre had Paul in his, which led to a brawl post-match which ended with McIntyre striking Jelly Roll with a Claymore.

Backstage, Orton apologized to Jelly Roll for getting him involved in the situation, bu Jelly Roll said he’s a grown man who can stand up for himself, and he wanted a piece of both McIntyre and Paul.

Orton then made the suggestion for a tag team match at SummerSlam, billing their tag team as RK-Roll.

The match was later made official via an on-screen graphic.
