There has been more confirmation regarding WWE’s plans for Randy Orton coming out of the upcoming WrestleMania 41 event.
Orton was originally set for a Mania match against Kevin Owens, but Owens was pulled out due to requiring neck surgery.
At present, Orton does not have a replacement match officially announced, although both Solo Sikoa and Nick Aldis have been teased as potential opponents.
It doesn’t appear this situation has derailed post-Mania plans for Orton, which includes the WWE Backlash PLE taking place on May 10.
Backlash will be held in Orton’s hometown of St Louis, Missouri, and he’s been featured in a lot of the promotion for the event thus far.
That theme continues today, with the release of the new official promotional poster by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
The only talent featured on the poster – which you can see below – is Orton, which implies there are still major plans for him coming out of Mania.
While not confirmed, many have predicted that WWE could run John Cena vs Randy Orton as the Backlash main event, as Cena is also being advertised for the show.
