Randy Orton Responds To John Cena WWE Heel Turn

Randy Orton Responds To John Cena WWE Heel Turn WWE

On tonight’s March 7 WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton commented on John Cena turning heel at Elimination Chamber.

Orton is one of Cena’s most storied rivals, mainly with Cena being WWE’s top babyface and Orton being the top heel.

SmackDown tonight started with Orton in the ring, and before he got to matters more specific to him, he made a comment about Cena’s turn.

Orton said:

“John Cena has always been on top of this business, now he’s just a ‘bottom’ for Rock.

“I guess that gives a whole new meaning to Rock Bottom, doesn’t it John?”

After the initial comment about Cena, Randy Orton then turned his attention to Kevin Owens.

While it was somewhat overshadowed by the Cena heel turn, WWE Elimination Chamber also played host to Orton’s return after being out since November.

After Owens’ win in an unsanctioned match against Sami Zayn, Orton came out and RKO’d Owens before looking to punt kick him, but was prevented from doing so by officials and security.

Tonight, Orton teased that he’s still looking to punt kick Owens, explaining that he enjoyed hearing the voices talking to him like they did 10-15 years ago, and that he’s soon going to prove that Pat McAfee is only the second best punter in WWE. He said:

“Last week at the Chamber when I came out to save Sami Zayn from getting a career-ending Piledriver on the concrete, I ran into the ring and I RKO’d Kevin Owens, and as I looked down on Kevin I thought man, what is this feeling coming over me? Something came over me that I haven’t felt in over a decade, and I liked it.

“You know what it was? The voices started talking to me again, and those voices, they told me to back up, measure my mark and kick Kevin Owens in the head so freaking hard that even his closest family members wouldn’t recognise his face.

“I am going to prove in short order that Pat McAfee is only the second greatest punter in the WWE.”
