WWE star Randy Orton has paid tribute to the ‘OG head of the table’ Matt Anoa’i, and Edward Fatu, who was best known as Umaga in WWE.
Orton responded to a Twitter user who had shared an old photo of himself, Orton and the late Umaga.
The former WWE Champion noted that he is grateful that the photo has been shared online again.
Opening up about losing the ‘Samoan Bulldozer’ Umaga and Matt Anoa’i, Orton wrote:
“I’m very happy you posted this pic. I’ll save it. Anniversary is coming up where we lost the Samoan Bulldozer.
“I wish I was one of those dudes that took photos of everything.
“RIP to the OG head of the table, Matty Anoa’i too. So many memories. Too many brothers lost 😓”
Edward Fatu and Matt Anoa’i had teamed together as Jamal and Rosey, the 3-Minute Warning, in WWE before Fatu was rebranded as Umaga.
Edward Fatu passed away on December 4, 2009 at the age of 36.
Orton is currently out of action, recovering from a back injury. He last wrestled on the May 20 edition of SmackDown, when he and Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos.
Orton was recently spotted in Birmingham, Alabama, where WWE’s back and neck specialists are located, indicating that the star is undergoing some sort of medical procedure.
