I think I would’ve just told my family not to bother coming to watch me if it was going to cost $20,000, especially if my match was against the Fiend in a giant “box-like structure” as Michael Cole put it.
However, Randy Orton clearly wanted his family at ringside, and he has revealed on Twitter that in order for that to happen, he had to pay a lot of money.
WM. Historic. One of a kind, only here at #wwe you can see the spectacle! Also, I was charged 20 thousand dollars for my family (wife and 5 kids) to watch dad rassle fight a demon…. and WIN!

The reason for the high charge isn’t clear, but it could be that WWE didn’t want to have family members backstage or at ringside due to COVID-19 protocols.
Perhaps Mrs Orton just wanted to be there to make sure Alexa Bliss didn’t straddle her husband again.
