Randy Orton Attacks WWE Champion John Cena On Raw After WrestleMania 41 WWE

New WWE Champion John Cena made his first appearance since WrestleMania 41 on Raw, but it ended with Randy Orton standing tall.

Cena once again came out with his plain, colorless entrance graphics with a new nameplate to match.

Upon getting in the ring, Cena ordered ring announcer Mark Nash to join him and gave him a list of accomplishments to read off to introduce Cena properly.

Cena then ran down the fans, who attempted to chant, “We are sorry”, but he continued being a heel and claimed that they were chanting that they aren’t sorry.

He then reminded everyone that he originally promised 36 WWE dates this year, and pointed out how much that’s already gone down.

There are in fact only 27 dates left for Cena – and that’s not matches, that’s just appearances. He said: “You say I can’t wrestle? I don’t have to. I can just show up.”

He then said that when the number reaches zero, he will be taking the WWE Championship with him, so the company will have to create a new title to replace it.

Cena said there’s nobody that can take it from him, and posed for fans so they could get one last chance to take a photo of him with the belt.

However, he was attacked from behind by an RKO from his old rival Randy Orton, who then posed over Cena with the title.

It’s long been predicted that WWE would run Cena vs Orton at Backlash on May 10, which takes place in Orton’s hometown of St Louis, so this does point to that being the case.
