WWE has been using NXT talent in dark matches prior to Raw and SmackDown in recent months, as a way to give them tryout match for potential main roster call-ups.
Aliyah, Austin Theory, Karrion Kross and Xia Li, all of who were called up recently, were in dark matches prior to their call-ups, and it appears the next batch of NXT stars getting a look have been revealed.
Prior to tonight’s (October 29) episode of SmackDown, WWE held two dark matches featuring NXT talent. The first match saw the Viking Raiders defeat the Creed Brothers of Diamond Mine.
The second dark match saw former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez defeat Toni Storm.
