Raw Star Praises Stephanie McMahon: ‘She Doesn’t Just Preach Women Empowerment, She Practices It’ WWE

A WWE Raw star has opened up about their relationship with Stephanie McMahon after adversity, touting her as a genuinely kind human.

On the After the Bell podcast, Carmella spoke about recently suffering a pregnancy loss and feeling incredibly isolated at a point in the experience.

However, Carmella noted that there was one person who made a big effort to check in on her: former WWE co-CEO, Stephanie McMahon.

Carmella said about Stephanie McMahon:

“Stephanie McMahon, I’m gonna get emotional thinking about it. She was so supportive of me through all of it, reached out to me several times, we had several phone conversations about it. Even after my return a few weeks ago, she texted me, ‘So good to see you back. Hope you’re feeling alright’ and it was just, oh my gosh, not only does she just preach women empowerment, she practices it. I am just so forever grateful for her and the support that she has shown me through all of this.”

Stephanie McMahon resigned from her co-CEO and Chairwoman of the Board position in early January 2023, days after the return of her father Vince McMahon to WWE as Executive Chair.

Carmella recently returned to action in WWE, making her return on WWE Raw and immediately earning the opportunity to enter the Elimination Chamber match.

While she ultimately didn’t emerge victoriously from that match, she was among the final two competitors standing before ultimately falling to the winner of the match, Asuka.
