An up-and-coming Raw wrestler has discussed his career so far, claiming that one match in particular changed his life.
Mansoor made his Raw debut earlier this month, facing United States Champion Sheamus in singles competition. According to the Saudi Arabian talent, his match with Sheamus’ former tag team partner helped him make a name for himself.
Speaking on WWE The Bump, Mansoor explained how his match with Cesaro at Crown Jewel 2019 opened doors for him. Admitting that Cesaro would probably win a rematch, Mansoor noted that it doesn’t surprise him that The Swiss Superman has been successful in WWE.
Here is the full quote:
“That was a completely, you know, not just a career-changing match for me, but a life-changing match for me. I can’t emphasize enough how much this match changed my life. I mean, this was the match that I think proved to everybody that, ok, this kid is not just here to be rolled out every couple times a year. This is a kid who has potential. This is a kid who can bring it, and this is a kid who was able to match that level of one of the best wrestlers in the world.
Mansoor’s win over Cesaro added to his incredible win streak. The Saudi Arabian competitor had his arm raised 49 times before losing to Sheamus via disqualification.
Mansoor didn’t appear on Raw this week. According to a recent report, WWE had simply chose to focus on other stories for Monday’s show.
