Real Life Relationships To Cause Several WWE Brand Switches

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, the WWE Superstar Shakeup is not over yet!

Satin reports that Andrade and Zelina Vega – who were drafted from SmackDown to Raw last week – are heading for an immediate return to the blue brand. They will be joined by Aleister Black, who had been floating as a free agent but declared himself for Raw on Monday. All three are listed as SmackDown stars on WWE.com’s roster page, adding further credence to this report.

The reason behind the switches appears to be down to real-life relationships. Andrade is dating SmackDown star Charlotte Flair and his move to Raw means they will no longer be on the road together. Moving Andrade back to SmackDown was presumably done to keep both happy. However, Andrade’s manager Zelina Vega is married to Aleister Black which would explain his sudden switch to the blue brand.

Wouldn’t it have just been easier to move Charlotte to Raw?

Black’s recent tag partner Ricochet is still listed as a Raw competitor so it does not appear that he is moving with Black, meaning both will likely be flying solo from now on.

It is interesting that WWE has been willing to bend over backwards to accommodate certain couples within its ranks when others such as Alexa Bliss and Buddy Muprhy and Nikki Cross and Killian Dain have been placed on separate brands.

The switches are a major boost for SmackDown and leave Raw somewhat weakened. Chances are that the red brand will be further strengthened tonight, with Samoa Joe already expected to move to Monday nights. Could someone else be joining him?
