Real Reason AJ Styles Was Busted Open In WrestleMania 38 Match

Speculation continues regarding exactly what happened to cause AJ Styles to have a fairly sizeable abrasion on his cheek before his WrestleMania Sunday match with Edge.

It would be difficult not to notice and immediately Twitter went ablaze with theories including that it had been burned from pyro, now there’s a video floating around that seems to suggest otherwise.

Watch the clip for yourself below and decide but from this angle, the reports that AJ Styles actually hit his head on his way onto the entrance ramp certainly sound highly likely. Around the seven-second mark, you’ll see Styles seemingly smack into the set, jolting back before proceeding with his entrance.

AJ Styles went on to be defeated by Edge who was joined in the ring for a post-match celebration with his presumably new heel faction member, Damian Priest as they stood tall.
