Real Reason Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair Became WWE Tag Team

Alexa Bliss has commented on how her WWE tag team with Charlotte Flair came about, and why it’s been working so well.

Bliss and Flair are the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, winning the title very soon after they started teaming up.

Speaking with In The Kliq, Bliss explained:

“It’s been so fun working with Charlotte. This was something that came about very randomly. We were talking to creative, and I kinda like threw it out there.

“They gave me a list of names of people who were in this little bubble of needing storylines, and I was like, ‘What about Charlotte? We have this long past, that could be a fun dynamic, these two people who don’t normally get along with other people or have success with other people, getting stuck together.’

“It’s been super fun, and we’ve been having fun with it. Our entrances, our little pushing and shoving, that’s just us improv-ing and just having fun with it. It’s been a lot of fun, and I was right – we would be successful, because now we’re Tag Team Champions.

“It’s been great. We get to see a different side of me, and a different side of Charlotte, which I think is so fun, seeing her have fun and open up as a character. Because we saw before, a character that was mainly going for a singles title and then my character was never really one, after joining Bray, was never really focused on any titles.

“So it’s fun to see the mesh of the two come together as this kind of odd couple, and allies of convenience. It’s been a lot of fun, and I think that’s why it naturally resonates with audiences, that we’re having fun and it allows the audience to have fun with with us.”
